Ancient Burial Mound Nearly Destroyed by a Modern Burial in Marion, Indiana

   A few years ago I heard that a burial plot and stone had been purchased and was to be placed on an existing ancient burial mound within the IOOF cemetery in Marion, Indiana.  I called the cemetery and bluffed as to who I was and what I would do if they actually destroyed the burial mound with the result of the stone being moved.
