Indian Tradition of a People who Came be Sea and Settled the Ohio Vally that Were Destroyed

History of Muskingum County Ohio 1882

Many centuries ago, the inhabitants of America, who were the authors of the great works in the Mississippi Valley, were driven south by an army of warriors from the north. The Indian traditions locate their original home north of the Great lakes. In the process of time, some of their people migrated to the river Kanawag, (St. Lawrence). After many years a foreign people came by sea and settled south of the lakes.
The warriors to the north were the Algonquin Indians who were living in Canada. Another Indian tradition that corroborates this story  www.nephilimgiants.net : Light Colored People From the East was the Origin of the Ohio Mound Builders According to the Shawnee

Then followed long accounts of wars and fierce invasions from the north
