Northern Ohio's Hopewell Burial Mounds at Nettles Lake in Williams County, Ohio
Nettle Lake Burial Mound Group
Located in Nettle Lake, Williams County. Hopewell mound groups of five were prevalent in the lakes area of northern Ohio and Indiana and southern Michigan, this is the only one left except for a group in Michigan that has all but been destroyed by archaeologists.
We have no information on any skeletons being removed from these Hopewell mounds on Nettles Lake. Near these mounds was found a giant skeleton wihtin a mound in Williams County, Ohio.
