New Image of the Hopewell Indian Road in Newark, Ohio





This recent photo is where the Hopewell Road passes the burial mounds at Geller Park in Heath, Ohio. The Newark Ohio Hopewell Earthworks. To the left is the circle and octagon with a long parallel sacred via that was believed to have gone all the way to Chillicothe, Ohio.


Dashe Reeves was the pioneer in photographing segments of the Hopewell Road in the 1930s.  The lines made from the two parallel walls can be seen at the top of the photo.
