Ancient Human Giant Buried with His Weapons in Bartholomew County, Indiana

Ancient Human Giant Buried with His Weapons in Bartholomew County, Indian

Giant Skeletons And Copper Implements, Evidence of Ancient Civilization, Unearthed Near Rugby.
One day last week while making an excavation into the mound-like formation, some farmer near Rugby in Bartholomew county unearthed a number of skeletons of giant size. Buried with the skeletons, were a number of various implements made of copper of curious shapes.

These remains were taken to Dr. Regenas at Hope, who is an anthropologist and collector of antiquities. He pronounced them relics of the copper age, in the history of ancient civilization in America. Few remains of this character have been discovered in Indiana. Dr. Regenas is having photographs of them taken and is preparing an account of their discovery, which is to be published in a few days.

Fort Hill Serpentine Enclosure in Highland County, Ohio

Fort Hill Serpentine Enclosure in Highland County, Ohio

The massive earthwork at Fort Hill is entirely made of stones. The wall itself ranges from 6 to 15 feet in height, averages 30 feet wide at its base, and encloses 35.3 acres. It follows the natural contour of the rim of the hill and is bordered on the inside wall by a substantial ditch. Another Serpent effigy enclosure at the earthwork in Germantown, Ohio.  www.nephilimgiants.net : Germantown, Ohio's Ancient Mound Builders Serpentine Earthen Enclosure

Fort Hill was constructed to represent a serpent that can be seen at the top where their heads come together.

The stone walls undulate like a Serpent the extent of the works. Fort Hill is not maintained and there not even a sign to direct you up the hill. If you go in the summer, you will not be able to see anything.

Granville, Ohio Alligator Mound is a Salamander

Granville, Ohio Alligator Mound is a Salamander

The Alligator mound is actually a salamander. The axis of the "Alligator" aligns to the May 1st sunrise. This is a time when the salamanders emerged and were the first sign of spring.

An effigy mound in the shape of  a salamander is located in Licking County, Ohio. These were built by the Dakota Sioux Hopewell that also built similar effigy mounds www.nephilimgiants.net : Sioux Indian Effigies in South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Ohio

The effigy mound is aligned to the May 1 sunrise and was symbolic of the Earth Mother.

Iroquois Burial Mound With Spirit Stones in Noble County, Indiana

Iroquois Burial Mound with Spirit Stones in Noble County, Indiana

Close up of the Spirit Stone with a face made by natural sculpturing.

On the west side of a small Iroquois burial mound in Noble County, Indiana was a flat stone pushed deep into the ground.  I was able to free the stone, that revealed what appeared to be a face. These faces were used as Spirit Stones by the ancient Iroquois. The Spirit Stone was used to guard the dead buried in the mound.

The burial mound adjacent to the Spirit Stone has a natural spring next on the west left side.

This carved slate stone was also found on the property, north of the burial mound, on an elevation where a circular earthwork was once situated.

Smaller, Oto Sioux Earthen Circle Discovered at the Strawtown, Indiana Solar Tempe Henge Site

Smaller, Oto Sioux Earthen Circle Discovered at the Strawtown, Indiana Solar Tempe Henge Site

The earthwork is definably a henge. Interior circular platform, interior ditch with an outer wall. This also is devinitive proof that the Oto Sioux were in part the Hopewell Mound Builders. Another hnge site that has been plowed for years is north of  Cambridge City, Indiana that has a very similar appearance even though its inner ditch was originally much deeper. www.nephilimgiants.net : Indiana's Lost Ancient Adena Sun Temples

The Fort and Mound

The main work is a circle about three hundred feet in diameter, thrown up in the center, but apparently level and surrounded by a ditch that Mr. Parker says was about six feet deep when he first saw it. Fifty yards to the south of the large circle is a lesser circle about fifty feet in diameter and now almost obliterated

IPFW archaeologists determined that this Hopewell earthen circle was affiliated with the Oto Sioux. Additional Oto Sioux burial mounds and earthworks have been identified at the Mann Site in Posey County, Indiana.

Etowah Georgia Giants with Flat Heads

Etowah Georgia Giants with Flat Heads

Motre giants discovered at the Etowah Georgia mound site www.nephilimgiants.net : The Etowah Georgia Giants

Gadsden Times, ( Gadsen, Alabama) July 16, 1886
On April 12, 1886, James R. Henry, the colonel’s son, went down to the farm and found nearly the entire river bottom land had been washed away by the flood. The top soil had been swept away to a depth of 3 or4 feet, and of the entire 250 acres, only about 40 or 50 acres were then capable of producing a crop. Upon closer examination, a startling discovery was made. Henry discovered a large portion of the land had once been used as a burial place for the dead of an unusual race of people. The burial ground covered about 40 acres, and many curious things were found that had been buried with the dead. At the head of every grave, a pot of earthenware was found, and many contained the ornaments and weapons of war worn by the departed in his lifetime. Knives, tomahawks, pipes and other items were found and collected by Henry, who also found a skeleton that would prove to be the most startling find of the day. The skeleton appeared to be that of a giant. Henry could easily place his head in its skull, and the bone was a half-inch thick. The thigh bone was almost 22 inches in length, and the bone from the shoulder to the elbow measured 20 inches. When all the bones were placed in their proper positions, they showed the owner must have been close to 12 feet tall from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. Two or three of these enormous skeletons were found in this strange burial site. Many of these people buried here were from a prehistoric race. The skulls found here were of solid bone, flat on the top with no seam, as found in modern man. This lead many to believe Etowha County was once inhabited by an entirely different race of people. The unearthing of this burial ground caused considerable excitement. Henry preserved many of these artifacts for people to see.

Giant Graveyard Excavated at Tioga Point, Pennsylvania
Canal workers at Valentine, Nebraska, recently uncovered, ten feet beneath the surface, the skeleton of an Indian warrior.  The overlying strata indicated that the bones had been inanimate for several hundred years. On July 13 Professor Skinner of the American Indian museum, excavating the mound at Tioga Point, near shore, Pa., uncovered the bones of 68 men, which he estimates had been buried at least seven or eight hundred years.  The average height indicated by the skeletons was seven feet, but many were taller.  Evidence of the gigantic size of these men were seen in the huge axes found inside the bones, says Christian Herald.

Megalithic Stone Chambered Burial Mounds in Missouri

Megalithic Stone Chambered Burial Mounds in Missouri

These chambered mounds are situated in the eastern part of Clay County, Missouri, and form a large group on both sides of the Missouri River. The chambers are, in the three opened by Mr. Curtiss, about 8 feet square, and from 4½ to 5 feet high, each chamber having a passage-way several feet in length and 2 in width, leading from the southern side and opening on the edge of the mound formed by covering the chamber and passage-way with earth. The walls of the chambered passages were about 2 feet thick, vertical, and well made of stones, which were evenly laid without clay or mortar of any kind. The top of one of the chambers had a covering of large, flat rocks, but the others seem to have been closed over with wood. The chambers were filled with clay which had been burnt, and appeared as if it had fallen in from above. The inside walls of the chambers also showed signs of fire. Under the burnt clay, in each chamber, were found the remains of several human skeletons, all of which had been burnt to such an extent as to leave but small fragments of the bones, which were mixed with the ashes and charcoal. Mr. Curtiss thought that in one chamber
he found the remains of 5 skeletons and in another 13. With these skeletons, there were a few flint implements and minute fragments of vessels of clay.

A large mound near the chambered mounds was also opened, but in this no chambers were found. Neither had the bodies been burnt. This mound proved remarkably rich in large flint implements, and also contained well-made pottery and a peculiar “gorget” of red stone. The connection of the people who placed the ashes of their dead in the stone chambers with those who buried their dead in the earth mounds is, of course, yet to be determined.

It is quite possible, indeed probable, that these chambers were used for secondary burials, the bodies having first been cremated.

8 Foot Giant with a Neanderthal Looking Skull Uncovered in a Miamisburg, Ohio Gravel Pit

8 Foot Giant with a Neanderthal Looking Skull Uncovered in a Miamisburg, Ohio Gravel Pit

Montgomery County, Ohio

The Daily Telegraph, Jan 21, 1899
GIGANTIC BODY RECOVERED
The body of a man, more gigantic than ever recorded in human history, has
been unearthed in the Miami Valley, Ohio.
The skeleton it is calculated must have belonged to a man 8 feet 1 1/2 inches
in height. It was found within a half mile of Miamisburg in a locality which
contains many relics of the mound builders. Edward W. Gebhart and Edward
Kaufman discovered it while they were working in a gravel pit. Kauffman struck
the hard substance with his pick and on examining it found it to be a skull. When
they unearthed the whole skeleton and finally realized its size they were aghast.
The skeleton is of prehistoric age being fossilized. Its gigantic proportions present a
 puzzling problem to archaeologists.
He is clearly a man and a very well-formed and well-proportioned one as to the
limbs. His skull is of an extremely low order, being but a shade higher than that
of Pithecanthropus Erectus found by Dr. Dubois in Java. It is far below that the
most degraded living type. The prehistoric giant must have had a head that
differed little from that of a gorilla.

9 Foot Human Giant Removed from Burial Mound, Near Muncie, Indiana

9 Foot Human Giant Removed from Burial Mound, Near Muncie, Indiana

Circular solar temples with gateways aligned to a solar event are usually found where giant skeletons are unearthed. More Indiana giant here www.nephilimgiants.net : Indiana's Ancient Giant Race

Quarterly Magazine Now and Then, 1888

"The Muncie Daily Times a year or two ago stated that "One of these mounds located three miles from Muncie was opened not long ago and found to be a sepulchral mound and contained the skeleton of a man who in life must have been a giant, at least nine feet high." This "big Indian story" would be hard to believe if giants about as great in stature did not exist in recent times."

8 Ancient Giants with Primitive Skulls Buried Like a Sun Wheel in Walkerton, Indiana Mound

The News, October 23, 1925
MOUND GIANTS IN INDIANA SAID TO ANTEDATE INDIAN
South bend, Indiana - Eight skeletons, one of them clad in copper armor, and a heard of rare war weapons and bits of personal adornment have been found in a mysterious mound on the farm of Grove Vosburg near Walkerton.
Vosburg, a 70-year-old farmer, had long desired to know the secret of the mount, which, according to local tradition dates back thousands of years. Secretly excavating the pile of earth he came upon a strange burial place.
Giant Skeletons
The eight skeletons lay in a circular formation, arranged like the spokes of a wheel, with skulls together.  Copper breastplates, bands and other bits of armor adorned the skeleton on one man, who apparently had been of giant stature.  Embedded in this skull was a beautifully chipped arrowhead.
The soft earth of the mound revealed other treasures. Three pounds of ore believed to be either silver or white gold, lie with the bones. There were corroded copper bands, which antiquarians here believe were used to bind war clubs, two pipe bowls, one of smooth black stone and the other carved replica of a fantastic monster, were found.
The belief that the bones are not those of Indians, but belonged to the ancient and little-known race of mound builders has arisen because of the great size of the bones and the fact that the skull formations are not those of the Indian types.  The skulls seem to have little forehead and the eye cavities are high in the head

Light Colored People From the East was the Origin of the Ohio Mound Builders According to the Shawnee

Light Colored People from the East was the Origin of the Ohio Mound Builders According to the Shawnee

Almost all of the Native American tribes east of the Mississippi concur in their legends that the Ohio Valley mound builders were a light skinned people from the east. The religion of the Ohio mound builders was identical to that being practiced by the ancient Celtic druids.

The History and Mysteries of the Kanawha Valley, 1898
There was a tradition among the Indians of the Ohio valley, in the last century, that in the long, long ago, how many moons they knew not, a race of white or light colored people, in large numbers, coming originally from the east, had dwelt in this valley, and along the Ohio river; but had been gradually driven westward by their more war-like neighbors; their numbers being greatly diminished as they went, until, in a pitched battle near the falls of the Ohio, they were nearly exterminated; when the remnant, of a few hundred, took refuge on an island some distance below the falls; where their enemies, following up their advantage, again attacked them in force, and slaughtered them to a man. Color is given to this story by the fact that the ear ly white settlers found vast numbers of bones on this island. Gen. Geo. Rodgers Clark says that Tobacco, a noted Indian Chief, related this story to him; a Sac chief told the same to Col. Joe Daviess; and Cornstalk and other Indians told it to Col. Moore and Col. McKee at Point Pleas ant. (See Collin's History of Ky.) Paddy Huddlestone, one of the early settlers here in the last century, and who died not many years ago, said the Indians told him that this valley had long before been occupied by a white race. Who these people were, where they came from and what degree of civilization and art they possessed can never be known; but they offer one more to the list of possible authors of this image, however improbable either, or all of them may seem.

The Magazine of American History 1907
Sixteen Giants Are Dug Up  By Workman
Ancient Tomb, With Seven Foot Skeletons
Unearthed In East St. Louis (Cahokia)
East St. Louis, Ill.,  Nov. 4   Human bones believed to have been those of 16 mound builders were found in East St Louis today by workmen who were digging an excavation.
One skeleton was walled up in a stone tomb eight feet high.  It was that of a man apparently seven feet tall. When the stones were removed the skeleton fell to pieces.
Buried under seven feet of earth near the base of this stone tomb were the skeletons of 15 men, all above normal height.  They were sealed in a circle about the tomb where their chief had been walled up
